Your personal information will be held at 2/180 Montgomerie Road, Mangere, 2022, Auckland.
It may also be held for us in the data centres and systems of our third-party service providers, some of which may be located outside of New Zealand.
Your personal information will not be shared, sold, rented or disclosed other than as described within this policy or as permitted by the Privacy Act.
Who can access this information and who is it shared with?
The information will be collected by specified AUV employees who need to have access to your personal data to carry out the transactions. The level of accessibility to your personal data is proportional to the job function that each team member performs.
We may disclose aggregated shopper statistics, but none of these statistics will contain any information about identifiable customers and their individual shopping habits.
Certain information may be made accessible to other persons or bodies corporate engaged by AUV for or in relation to any of the purposes listed in use of information of the Terms and Conditions.
If we are not able to collect personal information

We will not create categories designed to target children under the age of 18 years (however, this does not prevent us from marketing children’s products to a general audience).
Third-party advertisers may purchase advertising products from us that enable them to target particular types of users of our network, for advertisements served both on our network and also on third-party websites.
We will not provide any personal information to an advertiser or any other third party without your express consent or in accordance with this policy.

Government agencies with statutory roles enabling them to request data from us include the Police, Inland Revenue and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.

We may disclose personal information to external service providers or entities located overseas for some of the purposes listed above. We take reasonable steps to ensure that the overseas recipients of your personal information do not breach the privacy obligations relating to your personal information

Right to access or correct your personal information
You may request access to any personal information we hold about you at any time by contacting us at privacy@auv.nz
Your request will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Act.
If you make an access request, we will ask you to verify your identity. There may be instances where we cannot grant you access to the personal information we hold.
For example, we may need to refuse access if granting access would interfere with the privacy of others, or if it would result in a breach of confidentiality. If that happens, in most circumstances, we will give you written reasons for any refusal.
If you believe that personal information we hold about you is incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate, then you may ask us to amend it. We will consider if the information requires amendment and will not charge for making any amendments. If we do not agree that there are grounds for amendment, then we will add a note to the personal information stating that you disagree with it.
Registered users of our websites can access and update their user details online. We request that you keep your information as current as possible so that we may continue to improve our service to you.
